looking in to it
If I become a criminal investigator it’s a very hard but
rewarding job. When being a criminal investigator you have to talk to many sad
and maybe even grieving people, criminal investigators can’t let the feelings
get to them to where they can’t do their job. Heather Kimball said ",the hours
for working are not outrageous but they have to work on, the on call which means that you have to be staying a
close distance to the station and the department may call you in to do some
investigating. You get paid for being on call even if they don’t call you. “Many
criminal investigators dust for finger prints; this helps them because no one
has the same finger prints so they can search for the criminal. When I am criminal
investigator I will have to secure the place so no one can contaminate the
evidence. Being a criminal investigator means you have to be able to get up at
any time and be on your way because the office could call you at any moment. There
are some different things that are performed at the crime many times there is
photographers and others that search for the hard clues like finger
prints and weapons. Once back at the station you study and go over the
evidence, you may even go and look at the body if there is a murder. Lastly "usually
the cases they solve can be fast or slow they can take up to months or years maybe
longer, a lot of the cases are lavatory meaning fingerprint processing and dna collection,
“Heather Kimball stated.
